There’s a lot of appeal in building teams that are young and vibrant. The energy, the ideas, the speed. They’re infectious. But over time, I’ve learned that energy without anchor rarely lasts.
Vibrancy can move things forward. But it’s stability that holds things together.
In recent weeks, I’ve been reminded how fragile things can become when that balance tilts too far. The right mix of youth and experience is critical. Because when the tide changes, you need people who have weathered it before.
Talent acquisition gets a lot of attention. But talent retention is where the real cost lies. It’s not just about who you bring in, but whether you’ve created something worth staying long for. And right now, that equation is getting harder. Good candidates are fewer. Responses are slower. Even the best recruiters are telling us: patience is part of the game.
But perhaps the deeper truth is this — we’re not yet big enough. And that makes growth not just a target, but a necessity.
So here’s where I land: rebuilding is about shaping a firm that doesn’t just attract talent, but holds on to it, through clear values that support both ambition and endurance.
We don’t need to start over. We need to start wiser。
On that note, we’re looking to grow our teams in both the Company Secretarial and Tax departments. If you’re someone who values growth and grounding, and want to be part of a firm that’s building with intention, PM me and my HR will be in touch.
